A brief, a request, a poem?
Cosa supported Fauchon, the iconic French fine food brand, in the complete redesign of its e-commerce site. This ambitious project aimed to modernize the brand’s image while preserving its century-old heritage. The goal: double e-commerce revenue while strengthening Fauchon’s premium positioning. The project also involved a complex migration from Magento to Shopify and the development of a B2B module.
Fauchon, a fine food institution since 1886, is renowned for its artisanal expertise and exceptional products. The previous version of the Fauchon website dated back to 2004 and required a complete overhaul—from graphic codes to user experience. Facing the aging of its digital identity, the brand turned to Cosa in 2023 to completely rethink its online presence.
This global redesign aimed to create a modern and high-performing e-commerce site that reflects Fauchon’s excellence and craftsmanship. The project mobilized expertise in UX/UI, development, and content strategy to deliver an optimized customer experience.
Our UX/UI team tackled the challenge of modernizing Fauchon’s image while respecting its DNA, blending craftsmanship with premium experience. We created a sleek site that highlights the diversity of products through attractive visuals. The user experience was simplified with clear storytelling, an intuitive purchasing journey, and smooth navigation. Special attention was given to personalization, including showcasing options for creating custom gift boxes.
The technical core of the project revolved around migrating from Magento to Shopify for a more flexible e-commerce platform. Our team designed custom middleware to facilitate data integration between PIM, Sage, and Shopify. This architecture enables efficient management of B2B and B2C orders while ensuring a seamless omnichannel experience.
A site redesign also requires a refreshing editorial tone. We aligned content perfectly with the design to create a coherent and immersive experience. Key pages such as “La Maison,” “Histoire,” “Savoir-faire,” “Innovation,” and “RSE” were reworked to highlight Fauchon’s DNA while adding a touch of modernity.
